Lone Rangers Business Network meets every month where you get to mingle with liked minded business folk. This network is specifically created for sole traders, consultants, freelancers, micro business operators, one man bands and even two man bands. This is not for big business...Sorry. You can have one employee or even a biz partner (your Tonto). Our goal is that every meeting you walk away with new contacts and having learned some useful things to grow your business.

Every month we have a new speaker whose shares their expertise. The subjects are relevant to "Lone Rangers" running their businesses more effectively. There is so much information on the internet but nothing beats a face to face meeting where you can ask questions directly that specifically relate to your business. Subjects we have addressed included:

Build it and they will come. And we did!! Lone Rangers started in August 2016 and we have had a great response. The past networking meetings have been full of fun, engagement, learning and making connections.  We have lots of great things coming so watch this space.

She has worked in senior management roles for organisations from start-ups to SMEs and major corporations including: IBM, Acumen People and Productivity and Directories Australia.During her time Cheryl has seen what works, and what doesn’t. Her advice and practical know-how propels professional practices to better business development and greater profitability.

The people behind Lone Rangers

Janelle Gerrard and Cheryl Royle are both long term business owners. We have known each other since 2000 and collaborated on a number of projects. Our values and drive are very alike and we both like nothing more than working with small businesses. Being micro businesses operators ourselves we understand the challenges and joys it brings. 

About Janelle Gerrard
Owner Design Change, Fetch Video, Movers & Shakers Events & Creator/Distributor of “The Networker”
Janelle has spent her extensive career in advertising, branding, marketing and design. In 2000 Janelle relocated to Newcastle and established Design Change. While in the past having worked on many international brands like Amex, Revlon, Oral B, Braun, P&O and Oroton, she gets more enjoyment working with smaller businesses. Being able to share her knowledge and creativity to help them build their brands she finds incredibly rewarding. Since Design Change started she has helped many businesses in establishing clear and distinctive brands. In addition to marketing, design and branding Janelle has recently introduced a couple of extra strings to her bow....these include website videos in a variety of engaging mediums and Movers and Shakers Events which hosts special business events from time to time.

Being a great believer in networking Janelle is the creator of the well known email newsletter “The Networker”. It gets delivered to around 2500 local business people every month, listing every networking event happening in the Hunter.
Lone Rangers is a natural fit and came about because she felt this group of people seem to be largely ignored.

Janelle’s down to earth approach, make her easy to work with. While she takes business seriously she firmly believes it helps to have fun along the way. In her spare time she thinks of other new businesses to create and is considering starting a 10 step program for business addiction.

Cheryl has a long career selling professional services, sales management and consulting, training and coaching. Since 1995 Cheryl has built successful business growth strategies and sales processes and practices for hundreds of clients. Her focus has been on accelerating sales growth through design and implementation of sales and marketing strategies and training of small business owners and their staff, focusing on the achievement of large wins with key accounts, and the attainment of critical business alliances. Her services include: business plans and marketing strategy development, sales, lead generation, sales/management/leadership/customer service training and general business coaching.
